DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, The Endoscopy Tech I is responsible for setting up and assisting physician/nurse in all GI procedures (including ERCP's and less advanced procedures), performing simple sigmoidoscopies and paracentesis with physicians/nurse endoscopists, maintaining equipment and ensuring appropriate scope washing compliance, coordinate internal and external supply orders, restock and maintain inventory, assist in billing functions and in maintaining unit statistics, assist with administrative tasks in the department and perform necessary admission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have current LVN, Surgical Tech, CNA, CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), or EMT certification.
  • One (1) year as an LVN, Surgical Tech, CNA, Certified Medical Assistant, or EMT.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two (2) years as a Surgical tech, LVN or EMT.
  • GI Procedural Tech or Tech experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Position is not a fixed schedule. Shift times and days of the week will vary.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
